We accept unsolicited submissions and simultaneous submissions from published and unpublished authors. We prefer to work with authors directly—no agent is required. We are looking for genres in the following subject areas:
We are pleased to review submissions in these subject areas and genres. Still, we are especially interested in purely original manuscripts that exist outside the boundaries of the usual tropes found in most fiction. We want stories that other publishing houses would deem unworthy of publication because they aren’t written-to-market. At Blue Courting Publishing, we seek writers who will go beyond relatable tropes of their genre—those who have wildly vivid imaginations in developing their stories. The industry needs authors willing to give readers new and fresh novels. We want to connect those types of authors to the right readers. In addition, we favor authors willing to write in a series.
Our Review Process
When submitting your manuscript for consideration, provide a summary query of your story with the first two chapters.
We review every query we receive in full, on a first-come basis. This process can take between two to four months depending on our submission load. We ask authors to please be patient during this process. Once your manuscript has passed through our evaluation process, we’ll contact you with our decision.
As of right now, we are currently experiencing a heavy volume of submissions. Therefore, we are currently closed to new submissions. Please check back at a later time. We will provide updates on when we’ll be open to new submissions.
